Monday: I decided to take the day off to let my knee rest to prevent injury.
Tuesday:
AM - 5 miles easy
PM - 7 miles with 5.5 miles tempo
Wednesday: I gave a roommate a ride to the airport in Seattle then went to a neurology appointment in Vancouver so only one run today of 5 miles easy with 2.25 of it completely barefoot on the track and the rest in my vibrams
Thursday:
AM - 5 miles easy
PM - I ended up not running because lots of people showed up for ultimate frisbee and I ran around like a madman in my barefeet, so my feet were too tired to put more miles in after that.
Friday:
AM - 5 miles easy. This one felt weird, I ran out of energy about 2 miles in and was getting a little dizzy. I suppose it was from not eating my traditional oatmeal breakfast and only had some cereal and a hard-boiled egg.
PM - I played some volleyball, so my feet were tired, but not like yesterday. I went for 5 miles easy on the track and felt much much better than this morning.
Saturday:
I finally got to meet Mark face to face. He, Andrew, and I went out along the Fort-to-fort trail out past the Edge trail until we hit 35 minutes and Andrew needed to head back. After getting back to the cars I went back out for another 5 miles making it a total of around 14-15 miles today. I felt really good on this run and it was nice to be running with someone else again.
That makes this week around 46-47 miles plus some cross-training experiences. I've also started biking around instead of driving because of some personal issues. So we'll see how this all affects my training overall, but I think it will be positive.
Running Toward God,
Jason
